The number of cases of Coronavirus have been skyrocketing this past month, making us go back to square one. As days go by, new cases after new cases show up and the risk of contracting the virus becomes terrifying. Recently, Metro Manila was put under Enhanced Community Quarantine again for two week and now we are under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine. The implementation of rules became more strict as more people got infected and some even died. Hospitals are now crowded with COVID-19 patients, some are not accepting more which puts peoples lives at risk. Swab testing sites are packed with people and health centers are working day and night to monitor covid positive patients as well as contact tracing.
It is normal to feel afraid but always remember to follow the following guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Monitor Health
Always take note of your body temperature, and watch out for symptoms that you might have. And monitor not just your physical health, but also mental health. It is proven that stress and overthinking can cause your immune system to weaken.
Eat Healthy and Exercise
Consume Vitamins
There are three important vitamins to intake per day to combat the Coronavirus: Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Zinc. According to Associate Professor of dietetics and nutrition Cristina Palacios, adults are recommended to drink 1000 mg of Vitamin C twice a day to strengthen the immune system and for zinc supplement, consume 40 mg or less once a day. Also, adults can take a supplement of vitamin D3 of 1000 International Units (IU) once or twice per day, consumed during meals but you can also increase intake of vitamin D by eating fish and soaking up the sunlight.
Get vaccinated
This is very important. If given the chance, get vaccinated to avoid contracting the virus, getting sick and/or spreading it to your friends or family.
How to Keep your Home Safe for Coronavirus:
Asks unvaccinated guests to wear masks inside It is better to avoid inviting guests over during this time unless absolutely necessary.
Disinfect commonly used items frequently Mostly clean and disinfect items such as light switches, doorknobs tables, chairs, toilet bowls, etc.
If one of your family members becomes sick, isolate immediately. Ensure that the member who gets sick, stays away from the rest of the family. Ensure that they have adequate amounts of tissue, alcohol, vitamins, drinking water, and healthy food during their 14-day quarantine.
Ensure adequate ventilation

Always disinfect electronics
Especially your phones. Most of us use our cellphones, tables, laptops, and other gadgets everyday, all day. It is important to ensure that it is properly cleaned so as to not be a carrier of the virus.
